Going Home

Sunday, December 13th, 2009

I’m headed to Ohio for the holidays. Dec 21st - 31st. I’m looking very very forward to it. I’m exhausted. Christmas will be spent with my parents, our awesome cats, my sweet nephews, my best friend, and his family. I’m hoping to spend time catching up on personal projects as well as reevaluating a lot of things and goals of mine. 2010 is going to be very interesting. Until then, let’s PAAARRRRTTTYYYYY!!!!

I’ve been working with a software company for almost a year now called OrgSync. They created an innovative system for campuses (or any top level community really) to manage their children organizations and members.

Recently I tackled the mammoth project of redesigning their website. It didn’t involve redoing their branding but rethinking the layout and design of their information. I’m really proud of it especially since it was all done in about 2 1/2 weeks. The site is built with Ruby on Rails and has some insanely smart navigation and SEO automations (thanks to some dev gurus).

Posting

I’m in weird position where I want to post more real things about my life but don’t really want everyone to see it. This also doesn’t seem like the right kind of place to be doing such a thing. I feel like it’s far too late to do something like a livejournal. It’s almost as if I should be writing it in a real journal with pen and paper. After all, it’s really for myself and not for others to see. What does one do? Maybe a secret blog? That’s a dumb idea.

Feeling very emotional lately with not much explanation. There are just some things you can talk about, mostly because they don’t make sense. But also because the consequences they might entail are not worth getting it out of your system.
