Metro Rail !

Saturday, February 28th, 2009

I was on my way to the delicious Tamale House for some breakfast tacos and I saw a glorious Metro Rail train go by. There was nobody on it, so I assume they’re testing. It was beautiful and oh so quiet. You could hardly hear it at all. There’s something very pleasing about a brand new vehicle, unscratched, and with bright bold colors. The windows were big and shiny.¬† I can’t wait to take a ride on it. I had no idea it was supposed to open so soon, but it’s apparently launching at the end of March.

I may not be able to incorporate it into my life but it’s just nice to have around and will help the city tremendously.

Beard Growing

Friday, February 27th, 2009

There comes a time in every man’s life when he needs to try and grow a beard. This is that moment. Yes We Can.

I’m up early this morning because I was having difficulty sleeping. My life has become all about work again. I haven’t taken a road trip, done anything crazy, or stretched my boundaries in a long time. Improv has been great, but I am craving adventure. My hatred of the routine is powerful today.

Things From My Journal

Monday, February 23rd, 2009

I have sporadically written in a series of journals since 2003. I don’t do personal or eventful entries. They are more of random thoughts and ideas arranged with no particular pattern. They are also joke ideas or dialogue pulled or manipulated from real interactions. A small sample of snippets:

“Quit being so positive about negativity”

The Glass is Half Broken

Musician: I’m not that depressed
Friend: Really? Your last album was called “When Life Hands You Lemons, Kill Yourself”

If I had a dime for every time I used a cliché.

I’m going to make a list of all the things I’m going to forget to do tomorrow.
